well, it's time to clean the dust away from my blog.

after passing out from sispec ASLC,
i got posted to 5 SIR as Nationalservice Platoon Sergeant.
And that is when i need to travel to brunei for Ex Lancer.
it was physically tiring for me as i just came back from taiwan not long,
but thank GOD that i went through it and came back safely.

enough of my boring life in NS.

i'm glad that i have someone who were there to encourage me,
support me and love me through out this time.
and that is none other than my Miss GirlFriend !!! hee

hi guys !! i just booked out yesterday haa this was me before i went in and booked out.

just to cut short. well life in tekong is not too bad. i got posted to Taurus company in school 2, meaning nearer to ferry terminal. Thank God for his grace, i was selected as Platoon IC for a week. and through out that week God has proven himself over and over againt that his with me ! I had favour upon my platoon mates and instructors. i'll booked in on sunday 8.10pm at pasir ris. keep me in prayers !! thanks guys

well ..... my answer is D ! Because on my way to work, i saw this well dressed businessman in the MRT having a stack of papers with him. When the door was about to open, he unbutton [1 button near the stomach] and slip the papers in and walk out. Haa !! creative ? atleast to me......

Next, i've experience over the year that some people will just come up to me and say ...

Friend A : Hi ! i remember you, you are jacky from [the place they knew me]
and my reaction will normally be ...
Jacky : Isit ? how come i don't remember ?
Friend A : Of cause i remember you, you so [tanned , dark or black] !

FYI, i'll be flying back to Hong Kong on 20 Aug till 31 Aug to visit my relatives and shopping !! And i'll left with 1 week before i go and serve the NATION ! haa

i injured my right ankle during soccer yesterday.
limping, not a very good experience.

making marriage work 06 is great, i watch it online on sunday
and i can see that pastor kong really put in alot of effort preparing this.

A solution to my expensive handphone bills is ... iCentel !!

iCentel is company that provides callback services that enables you to turn outgoing calls to incoming calls. Sounds interesting ? Well thanks to Benjamin Tan, i get to come about knowing this service, at first i didn't trust that service but after seeing how it helps ben in his monthly bills, i decided to give it a try.

To make it simple, what this service does is that i will call to the server then the call will get disconnected, then the server will call back and you enter the number you wanna call and it connect for you. In this way, both parties is actually receiving their calls. So let me try for a month and see if it really works.

Settler's Cafe Singapore [ http://sg.settlerscafe.com/ ]

Many of you might have heard of this place before and for myself yesterday was my first visit to the Holland V Outlet. My first thought when i reach there was "wow there's alot of people there!" and it's like 10pm already. Then i ordered a coke float[$3.80 reasonable price] and begin to join my friends in a game of sabotuer. It's definitely a different type of card games that we normally play. Anyway the game is quite hard to explain, so you should go try it yourself. For 4 hours of games with free flow of soda drinks costs $15.

Well overall: Environment - 9/10, Food - 7.5/10 and Customer Service - 9/10. Great place to chill out, fellowship and have tons of fun !

Yesterday evening i meet my mummy for dinner, so she decided to try out this place at marina square called " Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe " http://www.marinasquare.com.sg/web/sp_yummy_treats.aspx .

Upon reaching, the place was quite pack and the decoration was quite unique. So i begin to run through the menu for some good Hong Kong food and i decided to try the all time favourite fried beef hor fun[dry]. The food came after 10 minutes and the first thing that comes to my mind is "what on earth is this?". It looks like 2 plates of eaten hor fun mixed together and fried.

Firstly - there's two different colour of hor fun inside, the darker ones and the lighter ones.
Secondly - there's a big and long piece of beef fats inside the plate.
Lastly - there's an fried egg inside it, since when there's fried egg in beef hor fun ?

To cut it short, i took a few bites, complain to the manager, manager came, took the hor fun away, pay for the bill and left the place.

Overall : Environment 7/10 & Food 0/10. So if you are looking for a place to chill, go there. But if you want to eat Hong Kong food, go Crystal Jade instead.

Oh well, i wanted to take a picture of it but i don't think it's very nice of me. So vote you decide!

Next, went to catch Superman returns !! at westmall 12.05am with benjamin tan, pei shan, sheena, wee qi and xiao xin. Good show, good action, good love story but long and draggy. I suppose there's a part 2.

Overall: Storyline 7.5/10, Action 8/10 and Ending 6/10

I asked myself, "Why do I blog?"

First, I want my voice be heard. Like everyone else, I have my own opinions about things that matter to me. One can have all the right opinions in his/her mind, and none of which will ever matter if they are not told. I think blogging is the most cost effective method to achieve this objective.

Second, writing down my thoughts helps me to think better. Thinking and writing exercise different parts of our brain. I can never truly understand my own thoughts unless I can write them down in a meaningful and readable form.

Third, I believe one person can make a difference in the world (up to certain degree). I hope by sharing my life experience (personal finance, research findings, etc.), blog readers can avoid repeating my past mistakes and take advantage of good ideas that I already know. Sharing knowledge can help the society as a whole to progress faster and better.

Finally, I enjoy hearing from my blog readers. Communicating with blog readers around the world brings me a kind of excitement that is different from talking to friends or family members that I already know.
